I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. The rooms were top-notch with a plasma TV and a large modern bathroom offering both a tub and a walk-in shower. The view from my room was breathtaking, showcasing Shanghai's water-front and towering skyscrapers. The location at the end of the famous location, The Bund, gave a nice contrast to the more 'gritty' atmosphere, making it a perfect stay for a mix of history and modernity.

The hotel's location was great, being within walking distance of the Shanghai Museum and helpful in hailing taxis for us. The historic building ambiance added to the overall experience.
Dining

The dining experience catered to all tastes with a lovely view, but the internet was expensive and slow. The food assortment was excellent, but the dining room cleanliness could have been better.

I had a great stay at this hotel with amazing views of the Bund from my spacious and clean room overlooking the Wusong River, all without the usual hefty price tag. The hotel's location was both charming and relaxing, away from the bustling Bund streets yet just a short walk away. While the service was friendly and mostly attentive, there were a few hiccups like having to ask repeatedly for creamer and sugar. The dining options were fantastic, offering a wide variety of cuisine, but some dishes arrived cold. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable experience with a few minor drawbacks.

The hotel offers a great view of the small bridge and the beautifully lit Bund at a very reasonable price of $66 AUD per night. However, we encountered an issue with the door dislodging when trying to lock it, which was inconvenient.

Rooms

Our room overlooked the small bridge and provided a stunning view of the Bund all lit up. The price of $66 AUD per night was a steal. However, we had trouble with the door not locking properly.
Service
9.0
The staff members were extremely efficient and friendly. They were especially accommodating when we needed to check in early after a long train journey.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location near the area of the Bund is ideal for exploring Shanghai. While it may take a bit of time for guests to be directed to the hotel during busier times, the proximity to the Bund and the closest subway stop makes it worth it.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience offered both Western and Chinese food options; however, the quality was inconsistent with warm orange juice and unfresh meat. On the bright side, there was a great variety of freshly cooked eggs and noodles.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offers amenities like room service, laundry, and tours/ticket assistance. However, there were a few issues with the dining quality that could be improved.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. The rooms were elegant and comfortable, providing a homely ambiance, but slightly unique compared to others. The service was top-notch, with friendly and obliging staff ready to assist. The location was magnificent, just across the beautiful Waibaidu Bridge, and the dining experience, though overpriced, had some standout dishes. The facilities were great overall, but there were a few drawbacks in terms of value for money.

I had an amazing stay at the hotel with spacious rooms featuring a lounge area and a magnificent view of the floodlit Bund and Pudong. The room I stayed in on the left side of the hotel overlooked the Wusong River, offering a nice view without the typical water view price tag. The inclusive breakfast and free wi-fi starting from level 10 made it very convenient and quiet at night, but the only downside was that the room felt a bit small.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were cozy and offered stunning views of the Bund and Pudong.
Service
9.0
The service was top-notch, especially thanks to Jerry who was extremely helpful and had excellent English language skills.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location just a couple of hundred meters from the Bund was fantastic, providing easy access to nearby eateries and attractions like the Bund tourist tunnel. However, the property could benefit from some updates.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was excellent with a wide variety of Eastern and Western food options to choose from. However, the quality of the hot food could have been better as it was only warm, and some staff attire was not up to standard.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had a range of facilities from room service to laundry services, ensuring a comfortable stay. However, enhancements are needed to reach a higher rating.
